Also serving are Doris Moody and Lindsey Boan both of Birmingham, leading technology and marketing committees respectively. In late February, the Foundation hired its first Executive Director, Kristin Martin, CFRE. Ms. Martin is a certified fundraising executive having worked in the development field for more than 20 years. She comes to the Laura Crandall Brown Ovarian Cancer Foundation after working as a consultant for the Alabama Ballet and the Girl Scouts of North-Central Alabama. Her prior experience includes fundraising for arts, humanities, and youth educational organizations. As a volunteer, she currently serves as the President of the Alabama chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. The Laura Crandall Brown Ovarian Cancer Foundation was founded in December 2009 in honor of Laura who expressed her desire to be able to help other afflicted by ovarian cancer.
