Foundation Welcomes New Staff Member

The Laura Crandall Brown Ovarian Cancer Foundation welcomes a new addition to their staff.   

Rebecca Hunter joins the Laura Crandall Brown Ovarian Cancer Foundation as Event Coordinator.  Mrs. Hunter was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama.  She graduated from Auburn University in 2005 with a B.A. in English, and she earned her Master’s in International Relations in 2008 and her Master’s in Public Administration (MPA) in 2010, both from Auburn University Montgomery.  While in graduate school, Mrs. Hunter was President of Pi Alpha Alpha, the Public Administration Honor Society at AUM, and she earned a Certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership in conjunction with her MPA.  
 
Prior to joining the Foundation, Mrs. Hunter was employed by the Gift of Life Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in Montgomery, as the Director of the Montgomery Area Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy.  While in Montgomery, Mrs. Hunter served on the Board of Directors of Partners in Education, volunteered for the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts, was a member of the Junior League of Montgomery, was a Sunday School teacher and youth group volunteer, and was a member of the Junior Executive Board of the American Cancer Society. She is also a 2009 graduate of EMERGE Torchbearers Class I, Montgomery’s Young Professionals Leadership Program, and was a member of the EMERGE Montgomery Young Professionals organization.
