The Laura Crandall Brown Ovarian Cancer Foundation is among the charities participating the first ever Alabama Gives day to be held on Thursday, February 2nd. This initiative, sponsored by the Alabama Association of Nonprofits, in partnership with the Alabama Broadcasters Association, is the first of its kind in Alabama. Participants will be provided with an online portal through which they may contribute to the charity of their chosing.

Donations to Alabama charities will be accepted through NonprofitsMatter.org over a 24-hour period beginning at 12 a.m. on February 2nd, 2011.

So mark your calendars and be ready to participate in this "24 Hours to Give Where You Live" event.
