The Laura Crandall Brown Ovarian Cancer Foundation invites you to join us (as we join our friends at CanSurvive and others from around the state) in  attending a historic event in Montgomery on Tuesday, September 4th.

There will be a ceremony on the Capitol steps at 600 Dexter Avenue in Montgomery starting at 6 p.m.  The ceremony will include speakers from around the state.  Lighting should occur at dusk, around 7 p.m.  Afterwards there will be a Celebration of Life with live music.

Group Transportation

CanSurvive GYN Cancer Support Group has chartered a 56 passenger bus for this trip.  The bus will leave from the Lowe's on Valleydale Rd/Co. Rd. 17 in Hoover.  Loading will start at 2:45 p.m. and the bus will leave promptly at 3:15 p.m. The bus will leave Montgomery at 8 p.m., getting us back to Hoover at 9:30 p.m. We are asking each rider to contribute $20.  This will cover transportation, a special tee shirt to wear at the ceremony, and a boxed sandwich supper. You are welcome to invite family members or friends. Bring a bag chair to sit in at the Capitol.

Send your reservation and shirt size to cansurvivebham@gmail.com. Bus seats are going quickly! We will order shirts on August 17.

Individual & Transportation

If you are driving to the event, you are responsible for your own meal and finding your own parking.  You don't have to feed parking meters after 5. If you would like to order a shirt, you may do so for $10 through Cheryl or Jennifer.

We look forward to participating in this important event as we gather to bring awareness to ovarian and gynecologic cancers on this special day.
