The Laura Crandall Brown Ovarian Cancer Foundation invites you to join us (as we join our friends at CanSurvive and others from around the state) in attending a historic event in Montgomery on Friday, September 6th.
There will be an indoor ceremony at the Montgomery Visitor's Center in Union Station located at 300 Water Street beginning at 6:00 PM. The ceremony will include speakers from around the state and live music. There will be time to visit with attendees. After the ceremony, we will go the few blocks to the Alabama Capitol to see it lit in teal. Unlike last year, chairs will be set up and provided during the event so no need to bring your own.
EVENT TEE SHIRTS AND STARS
If you would like to order an event tee shirt, you may do so for $12. (If you are taking the bus, the shirt is included with that package price.) This year we are also offering stars in honor or in memory of loved ones for $5 each. The stars will line the walkway of the Visitors Center. Group Transportation
CanSurvive GYN Cancer Support Group has chartered a 56 passenger bus for this trip. The bus will leave from the Lowe's on Valleydale Rd/Co. Rd. 17 in Hoover. Loading will start at 3:45 p.m. and the bus will leave promptly at 4:00 p.m. and will return at approximately 9:30 p.m. We are asking each rider to contribute $30. This will cover transportation, a special tee shirt to wear at the ceremony, and a snack supper. You are welcome to invite family members or friends.

Individual & Transportation
If you are driving to the event, you are responsible for your own meal and finding your own parking. You don't have to feed parking meters after 5.
We look forward to participating in this important event as we gather to bring awareness to ovarian and gynecologic cancers on this special day.
