Jim Crandall is the owner of James M. Crandall CPA, LLC.   He previously worked at Cardiovascular Associates PC from 1994 – 2007 as Director of Finance, and prior to that at L. Paul Kassouf & Company, PC In public accounting.

He is a native of Sioux Falls South Dakota, however he grew up in the Birmingham area. He received his B.S. degree in accounting from the University of Alabama, Birmingham, and passed the uniform CPA exam in 1991. Jim is active in the Medical Group Management Association of Alabama (MGMA) serving as President in 2007–2008, he serves on the MGMA board as the Past President at Large working in an advisory role, and is a member and former board member of the Birmingham Chapter of MGMA. Jim served three years on the John Carroll Catholic High School Board, and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Alabama Society of CPAs.

Jim, through the inspiration of his daughter Laura, helped to found the Laura Crandall Brown Ovarian Cancer Foundation just after Laura’s death in late 2009. Jim serves as President of the foundation board.
