On April 9th, 2019 the Laura Crandall Brown Foundation hosted a GYN Cancer Advocacy & Awareness Brunch in Montgomery for state lawmakers.  

When: April 9th at 9:45 am.

State House

Montogomery, AL 36130

Why: To educate and advocate

We invited survivors, current patients, caregivers and family members, doctors, nurses, and social workers from all over the state to join us.  If you have been impacted personally or professionally, you have a powerful story to tell, and we want your help to educate and advocate on behalf of Alabama women who will be or have been affected by GYN cancers. 

Details of the Day

9:45 a.m. - All registered supporters will meet on the steps at 9:45 a.m.  

9:45 a.m. - 11:00 a.m - Mingle with Senators and Legislators who attend the brunch

11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. - Appointments with representatives or office staff/ Drop off materials to representatives' offices.

1:00 p.m. - Session begins

 

If you are interested in joining us this year we ask that you register through our online form here.  There is no cost to you to attend the breakfast and participate in the day’s activities.  Participants are responsible for their own travel to and from Montgomery.  A limited number of gasoline/travel stipends will be available to participants who indicate a need for assistance when they register.  

The Laura Crandall Brown Foundation is privileged to share this opportunity with all of you.  We are excited to rally together to educate and engage our lawmakers.  Please join us in this opportunity to increase GYN cancer awareness and improve the lives of GYN cancer patients in Alabama, as well as their families and caregivers.
